nurturing atmospheres, whence we acquire languages as a discipline and a life

We are language educators rooted in the Charlotte Mason methods and language acquisition pedagogy (Comprehensible Input Hypothesis). Our instruction nurtures learning atmospheres for students to develop habits of language study, to foster the science of relations, and most of all, to spread the literary feast that is available in the Spanish language.Currently, we offer live classes for middle school (Form 3) and high school students (Forms 4, 5). These are live, online Spanish courses for the beginners and heritage learners.

"late" is Spanish for " ♡ beats" & "llama" is "calls"

our pedagogy

We teach according to the principles of secondary language aquisition and Charlotte Mason methods. We don't teach from a textbook. Our class is a living book: We share compelling stories and images that will be understood our students. From their understanding, they will build meaning so that we can do what Charlotte Mason asked:

Look at our spine! It is available for purchase for $25, but we also have a free version available. The free version does not print.

"You really learn to think in the new language. You order your thoughts in the new language, and having done so, the words which express these are an inalienable possession."

Charlotte Mason's science of relations:• Studying the Boston Tea Party?
We can tell the story of Paul Revere in Spanish.
• Your child has a grandmother?
We can include a family picture in our Spanish "talks".
• You read myths?
We can describe any Greek hero, a Mayan princess, or a Norse god in Spanish.
• You read Biblical stories?
We can sure describe what David did to Goliath using words like la honda [a slingshot] and cabeza [the head] and gigante [the giante] .
• You celebrate Christmas?
We can bet we'll sing BURRITO SABANERO .

Charlotte Mason's atmosphere, discipline, a life:• weekly routines
We have consistent opening, activities, closing.
• poetry & song
We memorize, recite, and share Spanish song & poetry.
• homework
We will ask for independent practice at home, to sustain weekly learning.
• joy
Charlotte Mason: “Children should have the joy of living in far lands, in other persons, at other times — a delightful double existence; and this joy they will find, for the most part, in their storybooks.”

We deliver our courses on the ZOOM and MOODLE and FORMATIVE platforms.Zoom is our classroom.Moodle hosts our class assignments, delivers our spines, shows our videos, and allows our communication. (It's like "Canvas".)Formative hosts our grammar instructional work. "It transforms traditional lessons into data-informed, real-time assessments that enable educators to create powerful formative-learning opportunities with their students. In the moment - when it matters most!"
